The story of this Cabernet begins in the vineyard, where the fruit is nurtured to ripeness, hand-picked and only the best fruit selected to be pressed. Its dry, full bodied character is supported by rich black fruit, French oak complexity and velvety tannins which are carried through to the finish.
The Joseph River label is best known for its award winning 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, winner of the highly regarded Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy.
Nose: Blackcurrant and cassis fruit with dark chocolate and cedar oak complexity.
Palate: Dry medium to full bodied, intense cherry and blackberry fruits. Firm natural red fruit tannins and French oak support the flavour profile to the finish.
