The New 2024 Black Label Rosé Proves to be a Winner
Posted on November 12 2024,
Our 2024 Fishbone Black Rosé has taken home the trophy for the Best Rosé not only from the Endeavour Group Margaret River Wine Show but also the Sanector Wine Show of Western Australia.
Delicately crafted from hand-picked Margaret River Tempranillo and Pinot Noir, this new style (due to be released in January 2025) is proving to be a winner!
From the Sanector Wine Show of WA judges:
“Best Rosé. Good concentration of flavour in the mouth, chalky phenolics, shape and line. Nice wine! Pale dry savoury style with primary red fruits, cranberry, cherry, nice dry savoury and complex. Pale pink with concentrated fruit on palate, very vibrant. Bright fruit, lively acidity with sweet and savoury dimension.”
Winemaker Stuart Pierce says the wine has a great concentration of flavour and will hold well for a couple of years (if people are looking to stash some away!).
“The Rosé is a really pale and dry savoury style. Very vibrant – there are some beautiful bright fruit qualities and lively acidity.” – Stuart Pierce
The minimal intervention approach to this Rosé builds a natural and delicate dryness in the wine.
