Va Va Voom Vermentino

Our 2024 Fishbone Black Label Vermentino has just swept up GOLD at the Melbourne Royal Wine Awards; bringing home a magnificent 95 points.
Winemaker Stuart Piece has a soft spot for this Spanish varietal – saying it is a wine best enjoyed with good company over lunch.
“It has wonderful white apple aroma and white fruits on taste, and bone dry. The bunches grow very large, and berries are also quite big. As they ripen, they turn a deep golden colour and taste fantastic in the vineyard as they slowly ripen to the point of being ready.”
The 2024 vintage will be coming soon to the Cellar Door and online store, but in the meantime, you can enjoy our 2023 Black Label Vermentino; a GOLD medal winner at last year's Labelmakers Group, WA Alternative Varieties Wine Show The 2023 vermentino was a special new release wine and the first vintage of hand-picked vermentino off the Wilyabrup home vineyard.
The Melbourne Royal Wine Awards is recognised both within the industry and by the general public as one of Australia’s most prestigious wine shows. Since then, the competition has grown rapidly, now receiving more than 3,000 entries each year.
